Last week’s Lessons & Carols service was a wonderful time of worship. There is something incredibly powerful about God’s people coming together to recite and sing their deepest longings while waiting for Christ’s advent. Or, as the carol “O Little Town of Bethlehem” puts it “The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.”
The choir, strings, guitarchestra and piano all took part, as did seven readers. For copyright reasons, we can’t post too much of the recording we made. However, we hope to produce a lessons & carols CD in the future that will feature many of these songs. In the meantime, here’s a little taste: “Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus.”
