Angelica (AJ) Zahrt became the Treasurer in August of 2017. Her position at COS is to oversee the financial activities of the Church. Her responsibilities include performing day-to-day accounting activities, preparing monthly financial statements, participating in the budget process, processing payroll, and coordinating insurance and benefits. AJ has over 10 years of experience in fund accounting for non-profit organizations and churches. Prior to her work at COS, she worked for Westminster Presbyterian Church as the finance manager. She also owns her own accounting business and provides accounting services to Churches and non-profits. AJ holds a dual bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Aquinas College and has received her MBA from Davenport University.
Outside of work, AJ enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and her dog Rocky. All of them love to be outside either on their boat or exploring new local parks.
