Dear Congregation of Church of the Servant,
We have a long-standing practice of holding two sanctuary services most seasons. During the summer months of lower attendance, many members treasure our custom of worshiping together in a single service for the sense of unity it promotes. Our attendance this fall now allows for a single service as well. During this time of transition, our staff and council believe fostering unity is critical each time we gather around the table. In this spirit, they recommend we move to a single 9:30 worship time followed by the education hour and coffee with all activities concluding by noon.
We need to carefully consider how this proposal will affect all of our members, including our BES worshippers. Your perspective is crucial. Please join us for a Congregational Listening Forum during the 10 O’clock hour on November 13th. We would be grateful to receive your immediate feedback as well. Please seek out any staff or council member or use this link to submit your responses online.
Fill up and complete my joy by living in harmony and being of the same mind and one in purpose, having the same love, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention.
