Is your church interested in exploring renewable energy? What are the options? Is solar right for you? How can you fund it?
You’re invited to attend the Solar for Churches workshop at Church of the Servant (3835 Burton St SE Grand Rapids, MI) on Wednesday, May 23 at 7 PM. We will:
- Review the current state of the technology by solar installer Solar Wind
- Tour Church of the Servant’s solar panel installation
- Explore funding options with MIPL Executive Director Bob Chapman
- Ask questions of a panel of churches that have already taken the plunge (Church of the Servant, Plymouth UCC, Ann Arbor Campus Chapel)
For those who want to continue the exploration, we will arrange for a professional assessment over the course of the summer. In the fall, we will take a deeper dive into funding options and host a vendor’s exhibit hall.
