Upcoming Winter and Spring Services:

Ash Wednesday • Feb 14, 7 pm

Please join us on Feb 14 at 7 pm for an Ash Wednesday worship service. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the season of Lenten renewal and is a time when we meditate on our mortality and need for a savior, renew our commitment to daily repentance, and remember with confidence that Christ has conquered death and sin. The service will include time dedicated to song, confession, silence, scripture reading, preaching, and will conclude with the imposition of ashes, a symbol of our fragility, death, and repentance.

Palm Sunday • March 25, 10 am

The Palm Sunday worship service begins with a palm processional, after which we will turn our focus toward Holy Week with a reading of the Passion narrative. The reading will include parts for the congregation and will be interspersed with hymns.

Maundy Thursday • March 29, 7 pm

Maundy Thursday is a worship service remembering the upper room. We gather around tables in the fellowship space to hear the words of Christ and to break bread. There is a special role in the service for young readers.

Good Friday • March 30, 12:15 pm

Good Friday worship is a 45-minute service of prayer, meditation, and song, focusing on the end of Christ’s life, from the betrayal in the Garden through his burial.

Easter Sunday • April 1, 8:30 & 11 am

8:30 & 11:00, Large Sanctuary [no separate BES]

Morning worship begins with a procession of flowers to dress the communion table. It is our custom at Church of the Servant to bring potted plants and flowers from our homes to process in and “dress” the communion table with them at the beginning of the Easter morning worship. We will gather our flowers and “dress” the tables for our celebrative Easter Brunch (10-11am) in the fellowship space. And then gather our flowers to enjoy at home. You are invited to participate in this tradition.

Parents: Children’s Worship and Little Lambs will not be offered Easter morning to allow children and our volunteers to celebrate Easter with their families in the sanctuary.

Easter Sunday Testimony Service • April 1, 6 pm

Evening worship will center on individual testimonies and reflections on the resurrection. This service has been a favorite of many—don’t miss it!
