Debby Topliff, the current ARTery artist at COS, guided COS members of all ages through a visual lectio divina during the 10am hour for 2 weeks in October. Debby’s practice of physically creating a passage of scripture is a technique she uses to absorb God’s word into her heart and mind. The scenes from the gospel of Mark that were created by members of COS with Debby’s assistance include the Parable of the Sower, the calming of the storm on the Sea of Galilee, casting the demons into the herd of pigs, the feeding of the 4,000, and more. Over 100 COS members participated and the creativity of our church family is very evident in the results of their efforts. Be sure to take a few moments to appreciate the 3-D depiction of a portion of Jesus’ ministry which will be on display in Fellowship Room 3 through November.
