Join us this Sunday at 11 am as the Pastoral Search Team hosts a learning session focusing on the topic of a vibrant and healthy preaching ministry here at Church of the Servant. The session is for everyone who loves sermons or who wishes they did. We look forward to contributions from seminary student Laura De Jong about learning to preach, from seminary preaching professor Ron Rienstra about teaching preaching, and from our interim pastor Len Vander Zee about the particular opportunities and challenges of preaching at COS.
The session will help the search committee clarify for future candidates what we mean when we say we “love good preaching.” More immediately, our conversation will equip all of us to be more fruitful hearers and doers of God’s Word.”
