Talisha McCullough is from a small town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan called Carney (village of 800 people). She came to Grand Rapids three years ago to pursue a major in Social Work and minor in ministry leadership at Calvin University. Talisha is a part of the Jubilee Fellows Program there as well. She is also a part of the Perkins Leadership Fellows, was a Resident Director this past year, and has served as a camp counselor at Lake Lundgren Bible Camp in Pembine WI, the past three summers. Talisha loves to have deep and meaningful conversations with all of those that she comes into contact with. She loves coffee, enjoying God’s creation through backpacking, playing volleyball with friends, and creating spaces for people to be their full authentic selves. Talisha was a Worship Apprentice at Calvin University during COVID and learned a lot about planning worship and got to work with immensely talented musicians. She continued serving on a chapel team providing vocals to the worship team where her love for signing only continued to grow. Talisha’s love and appreciation for hymns and music have immensely deepened within the past few years. As she has had experience leading worship she feels God calling her into more ways of serving the church vocationally and is excited to pair ministry with social work and see where the Lord leads her through her summer internship here at Church of the Servant.
