Share your gift of life… A patient who needs an organ transplant could be forced to pass up lifesaving surgery if compatible blood is not available to support the transplant. There is no substitute for human blood. You could be that lifesaving difference for someone. Come to our blood drive next week Monday (5/13), 2-7pm, and be someone’s hero. A Children and Communion class will be offered on Sunday, May 19th, following worship:  Meeting in the Living Room at 11:45am, the Children and Communion Class is for children who may wish to participate in the Lord’s Supper at a later date (A parent should attend with their child.). This is an age-appropriate class about the meaning of communion and the commitment of (possible) future participation in the Lord’s Supper. To sign up, please send an email to andrea.saul@coscrc.org

May ARTery Gallery Opening Event | Featured Artist Janis Carpenter- Mark your calendars for Monday, May 13, 7pm for our next gallery opening event, featuring COS artist Janis Carpenter. All proceeds of Janis’ artwork go to support Schools for Sierra Leone. The event is free with a suggested donation of $5/person. The evening will feature a conversation with the artist, live music, and a chance to peruse the gallery over appetizers and wine (available by purchase of drink ticket). Come for the COS Spring cleanup day tomorrow! On Monday May 6, from 4pm-dusk. We will spend time doing yard work on our beautiful church grounds. Bring your yard tools with you–rakes, trimmers, trowels, gloves etc. Pizza will be served for volunteers.

The Meijer Simply Give program was so successful last year that Meijer distributed $2 million among each of their Food pantry partners. COS Food Pantry was given an additional $5000 to use to purchase food. We received $22,000 from the campaign back January.  COS serves about 100 families a month in our church and our community through our pantry.
