Dear friends at COS,

It has been such a blessing to worship and serve with you as a resident pastor through the Transition into Ministry program. My transition into the next chapter of ministry will happen sooner than I had expected, as I have accepted a call to serve the Reformed Church in America here in Grand Rapids, in the position of Executive Coordinator to the General Secretary (Wes Granberg-Michaelson). On Sunday, September 21, I will be ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament in the RCA; it will take place in Brooklyn, NY, at Old First Reformed Church, where I served as an intern during seminary and which has overseen my candidacy process. I am so deeply grateful for my time at Church of the Servant and for the opportunity to learn and grow in ministry here, and for this opportunity to serve Jesus Christ and his church in a new capacity. I ask for your prayers in this time. Sunday, September 14, will be my last Sunday at COS, and I hope to greet many of you as we celebrate during the 10 o’clock fellowship hour.
