Greg,
Reflecting over the Lessons and Carols service, I too was thrilled by the music and worship. Starting off with Dorothy Otte's reading, even if it was Revelation rather than Genesis was inspiring. I felt as though it was Dorothy's farewell message to all of us and I have only known her a few years. The beautiful city of God.

I liked the selection of music and the variety of musicians. I was especially pleased to have several new voices with the choir. I believe it was encouraging to all of us. As difficult as it may be, I feel the Sat AM rehearsal was the clincher with practicing in the space the service was presented and hearing the arrangement of the voices. It all contributed to a sense of confidence and openness for the spirit to inspire the singers. Both David and I have been humming "Emmanuel Now" all week-a sign of a good piece of music. Thanks for all the time and effort to write compositions for the choir and for the congregation. The children's voices were a special part of the evening, as well.

It gave me a little chill or quickening to hear it. I think clear, simple church music is the most beautiful music in the world. The Lord is in it.

Blessings,
Paul
