Small Groups and Studies

Helping you find your place within Church of the Servant

Our mission is to welcome all people at Church of the Servant into an open, caring and accepting community that promotes spiritual growth in Christ.

Another wonderful worship service ends, and that old uneasy feeling flutters in: “Who can I talk with?” Whether you’re a visitor or longtime member; you’ll find multiple ways to link up with like-minded people at Church of the Servant.

Friday Morning Women’s Group

A weekly gathering of COS women for the purpose of study, prayer, support, and fellowship. Meets in the Youth Room at 9:30am. Babysitting is provided. Call the church office if you are interested (956-7611).

Households

Households are small groups of COS members that meet regularly for study, prayer, support, and fellowship. Because much of the pastoral ministry of the church happens in these groups, every COS member is encouraged to become part of a household. Call Janice McWhertor (956-7611×22).

Men’s Prayer and Bible Study

Meets Saturday mornings from 8:00-9:00am. New participants are always welcome. Coffee and doughnuts provided. For more information, contact Lyn Nelson (698-9025)

60s & Over Fellowship

This group focuses on the interests and concerns of people ages 60 and over. They organize seasonal banquets, bring meal to people with health problems and generally have fun together. Contact Clara and Len Sweetman (455-4135) or Barb and John Leegwater (949-6669).

Summer Softball Teams

Every spring, teams are put together for a fun summer season of games played at the Christian Reformed Recreation Center on 36th & Stauffer SE. There are middle school, high school, women’s, men’s, and coed teams. For more information, contact Ellen Westrate (956-7611)
