Art Committee
The visual arts at Church of the Servant include the seasonal sanctuary decorations, art exhibits and graphic design. Fine artists, textile artists, photographers, computer artists, art historians, interior designers, art theologians and even non-artists are currently involved in the art committee. For more information, please contact Ellen Vander Mey (EllenVandermey@aol.com).
Liturgical Dance Committee
Worshipping the Lord in dance brings a depth and intimacy to our worship because it cannot remain on a “head” level, but must include the heart, soul, spirit, and your body. Liturgical dance at Church of the Servant is based on the church calendar (Lent, Easter, Trinity, etc.) The dance group has a fluid membership and we welcome new people who have a longing to celebrate and worship God with their whole being. For more information, please contact Juile Yonkers (julie.yonkers@sbcglobal.net).
Music Committee
At Church of the Servant, we believe that the congregation is the primary music ensemble in worship. Still, there are many ways for those who play instruments or sing to help lead the congregation in worship. Strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion and folk insturments of all types are invited to take part, as well as singers of all levels. The choir rehearses the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 7pm. Other music ensembles are filled on an ad hoc basis or through bulletin announcements. There are also opportunities for pianists and music planners. For more information, please contact Coni Huisman (chwhidbey@altelco. net).
